1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. It lets the site recognise your browser on the next request, for example to keep you logged in or to remember a setting. Similar techniques such as local storage work the same way and are covered by this policy too.
2. Which cookies ShowIQ uses
The public website at showiq.nl places no cookies at all. Cookies are only set once you sign in to the client portal, use an accreditation scanner or open one of the external pages that offers a theme switch.
Strictly necessary cookies
Without these cookies the client portal, the scanner and the integrations cannot work. They need no consent.

Functional cookies
These remember choices you made so the platform looks and behaves the same next time. They contain no personal data.

3. No analytics or advertising cookies
ShowIQ does not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels or any other tracking cookies. Performance monitoring runs through Vercel Speed Insights and error reporting through Sentry; both work without cookies and without building a profile of you.
Because ShowIQ only places strictly necessary and functional cookies, Dutch law (Telecommunicatiewet, article 11.7) does not require a consent banner. That is why you will not see one.
4. Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies at any time through your browser settings. Keep in mind that blocking the strictly necessary cookies means you can no longer log in to the client portal or use the scanner. Logging out removes your session cookie immediately. The theme and last-event cookies are re-created only when you change that setting again.
5. Changes to this policy
When we add a service that places cookies, we update this page before it goes live and adjust the date at the top. How we handle the personal data behind these cookies is described in our Privacy Policy.
